[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
he and mama cardinal live in the woods next door ~ he always lets her eat first (what a gentleman!) and keeps watch over her from a tree branch nearby, partly hidden by leaves and branches ~ when she is through with her supper, he flies down and perches on the fence ~ he grabs a seed from the feeder, and then hops back up on the fence to eat it where he can keep watch at the same time ~ our boys always called him "daddy cardinal" when they were little ~ there are many cardinals here in south texas

Hi Nancy. A very good shot. Colors are very vivids. Here in Spain, people who have birds, use this "Cardenalito de Venezuela" to mix with The spanish "Canario" and they get "F1" is a mixture of both, and next year "F1" is mixed with another "Canario" and then they takes "Canarios Bronce". Congratulations for the picture and excuse me for my english.

hi nancy,
i like the composition and colors here. i am currently living in southern texas too, but never saw this bird. thanks for sharing, mustafa

Hi
I'm hunting this guy since I came to US. It happens that when I meet him I don't have the camera in my hand.
The size of your photo could be bigger, but it doesn't change the fact that it's a great image. It's sharp, natural with nice back and foreground.
What equipment have you used?
Take care
Henryk
