[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was out in the neighborhood trying out another new lens. An 85mm F1.8 portrait lens I've wanted. This little fellow happened by and was curious as to why I was always carrying a camera. I said, "Would you like your picture made?" and of course he was happy to pose..:)) No shyness at all. I thought he was cute as could be and I'm thrilled with my lens. So here it is.
This shot was shot in RAW format, cropped, resized w/sharpening and framed in JPEG. PADOW!! What a lens!! :)))

I have to say.. as much as I like my zoom lens, there is no comparison when it comes to sharpness; a prime lens almost always wins. Good catch of the boy, head tilt, catch of the eyes and the light are all excellent. Congrats on the new lens Shelly.

Hi Shelly.
Very good portrait picture with the eyes carry the sight into it. I like the bohek too.
Regards.

Hello Shelly
Superbe ce portait!La lumière est très bien gérée pour faire ressortir le regard de ce beau petit garçon
Bravo à toi

Hi there, looks like you're going to be a professional. It's really very nice, and very sharp. I think the sharpness of it is why you bought the lens in the first place.
Looking forward to another dimension of your photo's!

Ps. don't try to take a goose-picture from this close...
Cheers Herman

Bonjour, mon amie Shelly,
Excellent portrait d'un jeune enfant qui pose comme un artiste confirmé.
La prise de vue est fort bien réalisée avec une définition excellente.

hmm! I never thought a lens could make such a difference as to get a rave like this (I have recently bought the same camera you have, so I am doubly curious).
The portrait itself is absolutely fabulous! I hope the little guy got a copy of it because his mom would love it!
Superb composition (love tight shots like this)
