hi Hugh,
Before i read your note, my first impression was that they were indeed praying. Strange place to do so, or hiding from the musician, so they don't have to give some money. There are always different reactions from people when someone is playing music or performing... i like the shot very much, it's again a reality 100%.

The first impression I got here was a grip in my stomach. That "I LOVE YOU" heart by the plastic basket of this man surely playing in a way that could easily be celebrated on stage, while the people are turned away, rushing into their separate lives on their separate metros, separate compartments... He seems to be possessed, though, a still point of this whirlwind of busyness, a still point of total absorption and passion pouring out from within, whether in a hole, in the subway, on a stage... THAT is creation, creativity, meaning.
