[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have dared to post a picture of myself taken by my boyfriend only to start my travel photo-dairy from Hawaii.
Surface lava flow is currently present on the slopes of Kilauea volcano. Best time to see - at and after the sunset. If brave enough, when it gets dark, and no rangers would see you, it is possible to come closer to the cliff from where lava flow drops into the roaring sea. That memory will surely stay with you!
And I will never forgive myself for not having a tripod there!!!

Great picture Olga . Very interesting place to shoot!
I like the addition of the human element in combination with this wonder of nature! I must say that I am jealous that I have not witnessed this yet myself! Good note!

Hi Olga, There is no doubt about it, you are a brave person. I'm with Ursula regarding the addition of a human element. good composition too with the person (you) to the side looking over the main subject. cheers, Steve

Quite the Dare Devil ! Still, without the "character" in the picture, it woundn't have been the same picture at all.

Great shot, congrats to your boyfriend!

Hello Olga!
Wow! So you´ve been preparing a barbecue over there! ;-D
I think it is very exciting to be so close to the lava! Very nice capture! You´re a nice model! ;-D
Regards,
Zeca
(I have another dolphin captured for you on my last post!)
smiley later!

you are so brave to dare get near that lava! i have to be honest that i was a mile away from this site-(my first HI visit in 1994 in hilo) 'coz i was thinking i be barbecued alive when i stumble- hence no pics from that travel...
the hot lava is as hot as the foto itself- clear, sharp and vivid!

Olga,

You did the right thing by posing urself a s human factor as added to the beauty of the picture.
Its a very nice and adventurous picture. Lava looks awsome and black rocks are very very scary.
nice capture

Привет, отличная фота. Раньше не показывала. Опасно находиться там или можно не думать о смыкающихся за спиной потоках лавы?
