This is a fine picture of the bird in flight. The sharpness of focus, the blur on the wingtips evidencing flapping of the wings, the use of shallow DOF..all in all an excellent capture

A superb capture of this bird in flight, and she is indeed lovely. I like the clarity of the image, just blurred a little on the tips of the wings, which actually looks more like an artistic touch than a deficiency in sharpness. The background is great, blending in with the tones and hues of the bird herself. Well done, Sothy. Its a keeper...later.

In my opinion this 1-st winter Ring-Billed Gull (Larus delawarensis). You captured this gull in wonderful way, this is very dynamic photo. I enjoy it. The gull seems to pose especially for you :o) Great shot!

I love the way the focus works .. the beautiful background .. is that water ??? The sharp focus on the bird's body .. not only do the wings feel like flight they bridge the bird back into the world around her.

this is a very good picture, taken at the good moment.
I like the wings, blurry by the movement, and the rest of the body is very clear.

what a fantastic shot. I recently tried to do similar photography with a flying pelican in Dominican Republic. I got all excited and thought and did everyting right and as soon as the bird was gone I saw that my shutter speed was to slow. Back home I saw the mess on my screen. It was all blurred. Well, you did right in using 1/640s and got a quite impressive result. Congratulations!

Very nice capture. You make the photo in the right moment. Composition and depth are wonderful and you show is your talent... anyway, it's easy if you use thins lens: 200 mm f/2:8.
Thanks for sharing.

très impressionnant ce vol de mouette, habituellment on les voit fragiles, ici elle a la détermination d'un oiseau de proie, très belle opportunité de photographie, bon réflexe!
