[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Painted Desert: one of the most scenic badlands I have seen in the American Southwest. I went in winter so in addition to the usual bright magenta color, the valley had the sharp contrasting white snow. I just wished it wasn't so cold, otherwise, I would have loved to take a stroll within the badlands.

This looks like it would be a great large format post, though at this size it's hard to make out a lot of detail. If you don't know how to do that, look for the post from Adam in the announcements forum....

just checked back to see the large version. With the snow it has an other worldly appearance; not what one expects in the desert. Nice work .

Recently I visited this place and this offers a great variety Guy. I was just taken aback by the strange formation of the rocks in each park from Zion to Antelope and Grand canyon to Mesas in Colorado/New Mexico. All these formation makes us feel hot strong and powerful nature is.
