Photographer’s Note

When some people go over this bridge, they go OVER THE BRIDGE. This is the purple people bridge linking Newport, KY and Cincinnati, OH. A walkway was built allowing the more adventurous to walk on top of the structure wearing a purple jump suit and a safety lanyard. Down below, the Tall Stacks Riverboat festival is taking place on the Ohio River.
Update: Robert's note reminds me that not everyone is familiar with the Newport Southbank Bridge. This link provides a sense of scale for the bridge.

Hi Greg,
this photo is most interesting as I didn't know about the bridge before...
The thing here is that there's no chance one can guess the height of a bridge - even the visible tops of the trees don’t reveal its height!
But I was so intrigued I had to search on the net, only to find this website that explains a lot.

hi greg, looks high!! the purple and yellow suits stand out against the clear blue skyline. your link is brilliant showing us the true height.
