Photographer’s Note
I've posted a lot of photos with sea birds flying close to waves and not getting wet. This photo shows an oyster catcher that was too complacent. the wave has just hit the rock, if you look really closely you can see a small shell in the birds beak. clearly the bird got an unexpected shower!

Your timing is perfect here, unlike the bird you sure were expecting this and ready with the camera. Nicely frozen action at 1/1600.

A great apture and I love the crystal like effect made by the water drops. The bird seems quite surprised by this unexpected bath. Nice texture on the rocks.
