Photographer’s Note
We were all waiting. Like parishoners at mass waiting for communion. We had all come out of the windswept, wet, cold, east, on a rare day of sun. We had come to the west end of America to watch a giant 5 billion year old nuclear fusion reaction as it set into the Pacific Ocean. The gulls were watching too. Then it was gone, gone to lighten the other side of the globe. And we turned to walk back on the dark cold beach for the long drive back home.

Hi Scott,
I like your composition here. The reflection off the sand and the silhouette of the rocks jutting out of the ocean is very impressive. The Oregon Coast is a very beautiful place; you did a great job in capturing it.

Fine composition and colors. It's good that the reflection is included. Did you try a shot with the sun directly behind the right hand stack?

Love the note...great capture with the rocks beautifully reflecting upon the sand. Fantastic lighting due to the giant 5 billion year old nuclear fusion. =)

HEllo Scott,
belle image et jolies couleurs.
Un cadrage un petit plus à gauche afin de ne pas couper le rocher, donnerait plus de profondeur (si cela était possible..)

Hello Scott,
This is a genuinely beautiful image, well conceived and implimented. The composition is first rate and so is the exposure. I like your note, and the "giant 5 billion year od nuclear fusion reaction" caught my attention (I am a theoretical physicist, and I have done fusion research).
I've run out of green smileys for the day, but by critiquing this image, I know I'll come back and award the points. Well done and greetings from Virginia,
Bulent

I like the overall shades of colors in this photograph and the reflections on the beach. This is a well composed photo and the thin stringy clouds reinforce the thin horizontal lines on the beach. The only thing I would alter is the excess on the left side thereby bringing the rock more to the left -- check out the workshop I'm including to see what I mean. Great job!
