Sunset at the Grand Canyon, in Arizona.
After a hike of a few hours down the canyon and back up, it is rewarding to sit down and relax watching the sunset (though it gets really cold there at this time of the year, around -5 C and windy when this shot was taken).

Daniel what an amazing photo you have posted. I love low angled lighting highlights here in the canyon. Of all the best photos I have seen of this Canyon this is the kind of lighting to use. Excellent details rendered with your Nikon DSLR too. Thanks for sharing. Good work!

Hello Daniel -
A very nice image captured at just the right moment. I am sure you know the Grand Canyon is very difficult to photograph to due it's size and lighting conditions. You have captured a small portion of the canyon perfectly. I like the composition; focusing on a small portion of the canyon, omitting the sky, and capturing the scene in the best light possible. The haze in the air adds interest and the contrast between the shadows and highlights add depth and detail. Well done!
Thank you for sharing

The shadows give this photo excellent depth and it has good colours and sharpness.

The pattern of the shadows makes this a fascinating photograph, Daniel, and there's just the right amount of contrast with the areas in the sunlight. I can feel the peaceful atmosphere but not the wind. Good exposure management. Cheers . . . David

How long does it take to finish this hike? Are there different pths to hike it or only one or few? How about the floods? Is it ok to go hiking there in all seasons? Where did you stay in the canyon? In the tents?
Thanks, 'm very curios about this georcious place:)
