Photographer’s Note
Sevel Falls is the only waterfall in Colorado to make National Geographic's list of the major waterfalls of the world.
If one see closely, there are total seven distinct waterfalls in this one fall. Ther are tiered and each fall has seperate name.
Very first on the top Ramona Falls: Named for Helen Hunt Jackson's novel "Ramona". Categorized as a Fan Waterfall that stays in contact with the underlying rock, flowing smoothly.
Second is Feather Falls: Named for its apperance. Categorized as a Cascade Waterfall that flows at an angle over the granite.
Third is Bridal Veil Falls: Named for it apperance. Categorized as a Horsetail Waterfall that sprays outward as it descends the rock face, then drops into a Punchbowl, a deep pool.
Fourth is Shorty Falls: Named for its short drop. Categorized as a Plunge Waterfall, as the water free-falls without coming into contact with the underlying rock.
Fifth is Hull Falls: Named after 1880's owner of Seven falls. Categorized as the Horsetail waterfall, where the spraying water maintains some contact with the rock.
Sixth is Weimer Falls: Named after the second owner of Seven falls. Also categorized as a Horsetail waterfall.
Seventh is Hill Falls: Named for the current owners. Categorized as the Fan waterfall thats gets wider at the base of its descent.
Even though these falls are smaller, looks very beautiful together with the red garnite and green pines. AT night there are lights on these falss, if one gets chance to see.

A truly wondrous shot. The folk on the ladder give scale, the rock contrasts are very good indeed.
And thank you for the geographic information. It makes me want to visit the place (though not go up the stairs!)
