Here are a couple of date palms with a nice sky as a backdrop. The palm on the left is the edible date that is consumed all around the world and the palm on the right is the Canary Island Palm. A very common tree in Mediterranean climates, like here in Southern California.

... and here in Portugal (in gardens and streets, not usual in the wilderness).
Nice composition with both palm trees.
