Photographer’s Note
Living on the Atlantic Ocean makes it difficult, if not impossible to take coastal sunset images. Well on Key Biscayne, just south of downtown Miami, you actually get a nice view of the SW sky. In December, you get the optimal angle of the sun to shoot sunsets. On this particular beach, there are a few trees along the shore which make fantastic foreground elements for seascape/sunset images such as I did here. Last year's Hurricane Wilma took down some trees, but this one still stands.

Hi Michael,
That twisted tree is a special one in itself. Combined with colourful sunset where tones range from hot orange to pink makes it great. And reflection from still water is perfect.

Hello Michael,
you are likely really to live at the edge of the ocean, me I must wait the holidays to go there. You carried out a beautiful composition with a good control of the light.
Considering you can often go back there, I propose to you to test framing with the format landscape, while placing the tree in in the left part, I think that one would have a superb composition too.
Regards, Dino.

Allô Michael!
Belle prise de vue et superbes couleurs. J'aime bien cet arbre rabougri qui complète le paysage et que l'ouragan n'a pu emporté. Bon commentaire.
Bravo!... pour cette belle photo,
Emilius

Stunning!!! Such a beautiful shot! Very sharp with excellent contrast and mesure of light. That's true that this tree makes a perfect foreground for a sunset pic'. I'm impressed by the ranges of colors you have got there, going from "purple" to brown, passing through red and orange.
Excellent work!
Cheers,
Pris.

Hi Mike.
I love the simplicity of the picture and of course the colors. While the the shape of the tree draws the attention, i would like to see one with the tree off centre.
Beautifully composed nonetheless!
