In NYC you have a number of transportation types to choose from.
First of all take the A-train, but you can use other means of transportation as summarized here on this photo:
Your own car ( if you can afford the payments and can find the parking?) yellow cab, bus, limo, carrieage or simply go walking!

Great image to illustrate your concept. Nice New York City image too. Some traditional narrative-builders would suggest you create the same image with a directionality that moves from left to right, but I think the photograph has some wonderful qualities about it: spontaneous yet composed, immediate (due to the way you captured the various areas in light and shade). There are lots of details as in lots of urban imagery but the information is not cluttered and overwhelming. And there is even something abstract and ironic about the scene.
