Photographer’s Note
Near our campsite, this boy was playing in the water at the shallow edge of the lake. He'd run out and feel the water or pick up a stone and them scamper back to the safety of Dad's arms. What struck me most was the look of complete love and pleasure on Dad's face. The boy's trust and the father's love are feelings I remember from my own childhood. My Dad always took such pleasure in doing things with us.

Hi Pat. An adorable moment between dad and child indeed, well enhanced by the warming light of the low sun. The loving interaction is well illustrated, and the framing/cropping is good to give some space at the right, in the direction they are facing. It's slightly soft in focus but that actually suits the feel of the scene.

Olá Pat
As you implicitly recognize, this is a timeless picture, that touches the heart of many Dads and children. Very good capture of that feeling.
Furthermore, I like the use of light and the composition.

Hello Patricia,
I like the contrast between the fathers look of love on the little one and how the boy's face shows such a sour look. All the young one needs to do is turn around and see his father's love for him. Good capture Pat! Very delightful frame!

Hi Pat,
Superb capture of this bonding moment. There's the 'I wanna explore' look on the boy, and the 'I will protect and love you' look on the father. Wonderful. Best wishes. Danilo

Hi Pat,
This is an image that I can really embrace as it mirrors my feelings for my young children. The love and pleasure you feel is unfathomable when your child hugs and kisses you unexpectedly, takes your hand to cross the road or excitedly describes a picture she has just drawn.A lovely image Pat and a very special note.
Regards, David

Hello Pat. A sweet moment, this one, and you did well to recognise and capture it. The young father is obviously besotted - his expression and his protective arm say it all. How vulnerable parenthood makes us. Love the sturdy stance and the rather grumpy look of the little boy. Well composed too - you've left them space to breathe.

Hi Pat, Nice composition. The note rings very true. Very moody, away from the cares of the world of bad news every newspaper we pick up. Good capture of the moment. Murray.
