[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Twenty-one month old Sophia and her father, their steps captured in perfect rhythm, are seen strolling through the brick-lined streets of Fredericksburg, Virginia. This is the historical city in which George Washington, the first President of the United States, grew up, where President Monroe lived and practiced law. Indeed, a circle of 60-miles radius, with Fredericksburg at the center, produced four of the first five Presidents of the United States: Washington, Jefferson, Madison and Monroe. It became historically prominent again "four-score" years later, when, during the War Between the States (1861-1865), it changed hands seven times.

What I really like here are these 2 silhouettes: one small, one big with left feet at the same time raised from the ground... the pink colour of the child's clothes and umbrella looks also pretty well here...

I am not sure if I understand the beginning of your note - is it that you are not the author of this one but the mother of the child shot the picture and you posted it here?

Anyway - coming back to the image: I like the subject yet the surrounding seems somehow distracting: too much around: pavement, bricks of different colours, car, trees, etc... maybe shallow depth of field could be used here to focus on the subject itself...?

Dear bulent bey
Is a real stunning image enriched with the your pretty grandchild's pink umbrella. This umbrella also is a affascinating contrast element against the monochromatic colors here. Really is a marvelous picture. My best regards sir. ihsan

Lovely, Bulent - I laughed out loud.
I like the way the sunlit bricks in the distance echo the colour of your grand-daughter's shoes, increasing the feeling of movement.
Thanks for your interest in my 'echo' picture.
Best wishes, Winifred

Hi Bulent, i followed your link from Chris's picture of the lady in pink and was glad i did because it really made me smile which is important. I like your title too.

Best Regards
Gary
