Photographer’s Note
This was taken when it was below freezing in Chicago. I was surprised how relaxed the tiger seemed to be in the snow. It would lie down on the snow and then get up occasionally and pace--typical behaviour for zoo animals. But i was surprised that it didn't seem to mind the snow. Like the vast majority of displays at the Brookfield zoo there were no bars, just a moat and rock cliffs defining the space the tiger had.

Hi Tom,
Great shot, very clear and sharp, and what an animal. Lucky he (or she) was behind a fence.

Beautiful photo of this wonderful creature. Lovely clear image with great detail and colour. I guess they like playing around in the snow, and enjoying the cool weather, especially when they have a nice thick coat to keep them warm. TFS.

Magnificent photograph, with the white of the tiger matching the snow, and the beautiful contrast with the gold fur.
Cheers.

Hi Tom,
The head of the tiger came out wonderfully. Too bad the highlights in the lower left corner are blown out. The sharpness and colors of the photo are superb!
