Photographer’s Note
And another bad scan (that will stop soon) to fill the map and help me to sort my travels.
In 1992 I accompanied my father on a business trip to Miami/Key Biscayne, as it was a vacation for me I strolled around and found this crowd at a marina. Some of those "superhero" high sea fishers caught a pregnant shark. The vet examined the fish and cut it open. Seaturtle was on the menucard of that shark. I don't know about you, but would you do that barefeet too ?
That Tiger Shark was caught aboard the "TOP GUN" and was 1350 LBS

No, Jan, I wouldn't...
It seems today is the day of the bad things - look at my one.
The dead babysharks, the scenery full of blood, the spectators, the tight cropping - very well put in scene.
And a lot of to think about...
Thanks

No, Jan, i wouldnt too.
Very well captured depite the scan, well done with the detail and the peoples squirmish faces.
I guess this shark like most sharks do eat practically everything

No, I wouldn't, Jan. It's not so bad scan, but it is a great shot. So, did you taste it?
Very well seen and done, Jan.

Very beautiful colours for this shot. An original scene well rendered. I only hop that the little sharks were saved.
Jan ? No !

wow what a scene! I wouldn't do that i think...
You've captures those people's expression very well. I also like the old tone of the image, from an old film? Nice shot.
**How come you also added this image in the "food" category? I'm not gonna eat it :D

Dear Jan. It's a good but nasty shot. To answer you question: No thanks, this is not my kind of meal. But good scene. The blood, the shark and the people are well captured. Good colors and sharpness to. Well seen.

That is a very interesting "catch", Jan. I have never before seen baby-sharks delivered by caesarian, and they are quite big - and numerous. And as they are sharks we don't feel as sorry for them, as we would for most other animals in a similar situation. The picture is so much 100% Trekearth that in such cases I think we have a joint understanding not to worry about quality. Keep scanning.

what a scene, all those smallsharks around, hm, a bit sad. but it is a good photo moment - all those people around the the shark being "opened", good shot

Actually shark numbers are sinking dramatically worldwide. I think it's sad to start eliminating such a necessary animal from the world's oceans though.

A documentary shot. I lie the way the people are looking at him. Vertical composition enhances the "powerful" message of this picture.

A very interesting shot of something I have never seen before. Not the most pleasant subject but you made a very good job of it. Interesting to compare the expressions of the spectators.

Jan, I'd neither try it barefoot nor with any kind of foot gear, I guess. A remarkable documentary shot of this gory, but still everyday scene. I like how the people in the crowd are torn between curiosity and disgust, and interestingly I can't see anybody else pointing a camera at the scene. Good use of the "decisive moment" category, too ...

I have evil has to translate the question but the scene gives a strange feeling, poor shark, which passion one can have has to make a similar massacre, good image.

Firstly I would not be barefooted dealing with that shark- the scan isn't that bad give yourself some credit. I like the picture I think though I might have gotten done a little lower to make the people look like giants looking down on the shark IMO. ---poor shark.
well done none the less.

It's got a strong red color cast! (Just kidding!)
Seriously, it's a very good photo documentray style shot, & you had a bit of luck being at the right place at the right time.

Wouldnt do it with or without footware!!! Its a sad shot because of the blood and slaughter...but indeed a great composition of the subject here.
