Looks like ready to go. Superb autumn colors. Despite some contrast everything is clear and visible. I like that.

Dear John ... so you bring us back to the old times ... nice to go back once in a while to see how the old folks lived. I like the warm atmosphere in your garage and what a view it offers ... I can only imagine. Nice photo. Greetings from Zurich, Barbara.

Hi John,
I think what makes this image is the interesting perspective you have chosen. The window you have opened is very attractive but not too powerful as to distract you from the main subject.Good work in coping with the contrasts in light.TFS and have a good day.

Excellent image. The POV / Framing are very well managed.
I particularly like the fact that the photo is in colour, because most of the time people tend to convert these photos BW because of the inclusion of old-times details. Somehow photographers tend to reproduce old photos forgetting that people were not colour-blind at those times… It’s just that there wasn’t colour film… ;-)
So I like the realistic view of the place like if we were there 50 years ago. Still, there’s a slight work on the colours, which I find quite good. The pastel tones and soft textures are enough to create a nostalgic feeling.

Hi,
Was attracted to this because of the name. There's a Gifford near here, may be a connection? The picture is a great study of light. I like the curves of the truck - functional design with a touch of elegance. Thanks.
Dougie.

Hi John, I like your composition with the truck on the diagonal of the frame leading the eye out of the garage. It's very sharp so nice focusing. And nice job with the exposure, I can see the range of exposure from inside the garage to the outside sometimes being hard to handle in a situation like this but you pulled it off well.
Well done,
Doug

Hi John,
An impressive shot looking outward from the farm garage. This perspective really makes the viewer feel he is right there, perhaps in another space and time. The shot has much to do with textures - the old truck, the interior of the garage, the dirt floor. The blossoming fruit tree saves the background from being slightly overexposed. Crisp and clear. A very fine capture, John, and a good mini series on the Gifford Farm.

I like these kind of inside-looking-out scenes. This works so well too with the lines of the truck leading the eye as you intended. Your exposure handling is impeccable, and the blossoming tree is an attractive addition to the scene.

Very nice image...
You did a great job to keep the detail in the truck while not blowing out the red in the background. Very nice.

Hi John,
Nice work, I like the POV you have taken from within the garage for this shot. Good to see the details of this truck from the back, and it nicely creates depth by the diagonal lines. Nice colours on the tree outside, maybe dimming the highlights a little there would give a slightly nicer result. I see there is a bucket orso on the wall of the garage, on the left side, would also be nice if you included itfully.
Further no complaints, good job.
Tfs.
ps. Oh and I like the style you choose for your border.

I just love the control of color and light in this (in addition to all the elements) .. I love the way the hues of the tree, rocks, road and grass interact to invite us to that soft looking world outside and the just perfectly darker interior.

John,
a simple and yet great composition shooting out of the garage with the truck's loading surface as an extended foreground. You managed the difficult light conditions of the interior and exterior extremely well. Also the contrast of the old truck against the blooming tree is a great one.

Hi John,
This popped up in random and I couldn't resist. I do like the way you've framed this classic old beauty against the light of the pastoral scene. Nice work.
