[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I'm in the middle of moving and heading off. But I will miss my little home tucked in the folds of scrubby hills. And I will miss my sister very much. She is older, and I have spent all my life trailing after her- the pesky younger sister who would always try to play with her and her friends, chasing after her on my tricycle when she went for bike rides, begging to play in her bedroom instead of mine. But now I'm off on my own way, and I will miss following in her footsteps. And this picture is for her.

Sorry I haven't been around TE much. I'm busy now, but I'll be back. And because I'm not sure anyone can learn anything from this, I'll say that trains and their tracks were a big part of settling the western territories, and you can see them in the bottom part of the picture.

Touching image and notes Rosie. I wonder where you are going?

Bon Voyage!

Jeff

Hi Rosie - a very nice shot which seems to echo your thoughts in the note. Good luck with your future endeavours.

Lovely mood, Rosalie. Every traveler photographer has got to come out with such kind of pics.
What do we learn?...hmmmh.. looking at our world through the window I guess. I will not throw the stone at you as I am a provider of such dreamy/dreaming photos too...

Hallo Rosie,
I like both the note and the atmosphere of your photo... moving forward is very much about leaving people and places... sad but that's one of conditions of growing up and finding your own place in life I think.
You captured this moment of life very nicely: now your focus might be somewhere far away, as the mountains, but the important people still remain present in the life as your sister does at your pic.
thanks for sharing and be happy in California, Hania

I love the photo. Although the girl in the image is blurred, she seems to be pondering and smiling about something. I wonder what she could be thinking about!
Well done
Love

Hi Rosalie,
Pleasantly toned b/w, with that obvious melancholic atmosphere.
Nicely composed and presented,
Robi

Hi Rosie,

wow cool, I came back from my trip with an image that is very much like this one (its on my flickr account now). I love the forground blur and youc hpic of b/w for this moody shot.

Pure magic this one, Rosie. You are gifted with a special touch, it's a delicate, dreamy thing and no one, and I mean no one does it better. It's also very cinematographic which reels me in automatically. This one is lovely and goes perfectly with your note that amplifies the mood and sends us on our weay...richer than before.
Best.
Francis

Very beautiful tribute, Rosie. This is a nostalgic, wistful, photo, filled with yearning and yet somehow poised with a sense of detachment, an adventure for the unknown, of keeping wide eyes open for things to come which you look forward to. Happy journey wherever you may go. And happy memories.
