Photographer’s Note

These two bulls live on a friend's ranch. I was driving down the road and saw the two of them fighting. A video camera would have captured the action much better. They were really going at it. From the look of the mud on their faces, they'd been facing off for a while. I think the one on the right has the advantage. Part of the male in me wanted to go out and wrestle with these guys, but I was wearing my work clothes. Enjoy. :-)

I'm so glad you were wearing your work clothes, and I'm sure your wife is glad you were also! ;o) I've never seen a stance like this between bulls, nor have I seen bulls like this - what kind are they? I think I'd have cropped a little more more sky off the top since it's kind of ... white. Could have been sharper? Burned out bright spots? Excellent unique photo and bit of life!

You were wearing your work clothes? What kind of a lame excuse is that? ;-)) Kidding. Great capture of the scene, and I enjoy your tight cropping around the two guys. I think your post-processing works well here (looks like "clarify tool" to me) as it seems to underline the "aggressive" element quite a bit. Well titled, and good use of the "decisive moment" category. Good job, Stephen.

Hi Stephen. These are two rugged looking bulls, and I love how you have captured them head to head, going at it like two wariors. I like the dull winter colours, and the look in the bull on the rights eye. Excellent!

He he, I like your choise of title Stephen. As Michelle sad, i'm sure your wife is glad you had your work clodes on and didn't go in and wrestle with the bulls.

It's a nice capture, right timing with the heads together like that. I wonder what fair lady made them wrestle like this :)

Nice image. I especially like the low saturation colors and the strong contrast. The bulls also look like 3D in my screen wich work well for the composition as our eyes stay on them.
