Photographer’s Note
This tired cowboy was taking a rest after what must have been a busy day at the 69th annual Florida Strawberry Festival. Funny how we can go and go when we're young, but with age the mind is willing but the body is weak.
I took this shot as the man was sleeping, sitting on a picnic table. He looked humourous with his face squished in his hands. A very interesting character.
I enhanced the colour balance, saturation and sharpness.
I couldn't tell with my monitor, but it seems I have over sharpened this shot. I have done a workshop to try and correct this. Please let me know if this looks better.

A strange phenomenon John... Look at the edges of all shapes, they all contain the same extraordinary pattern. Is that due to some of your postprocessing work? Misbehavious of your camera perhaps? It certainly doesn't look normal ;)
I think your portrait could have benefitted from chosing a very narrow DOF.

John, some people can get this expression on their face without using their hands :-) Did you sit on the other side of the picnic table or did you use a large zoom? Funny picture with good details!

Nice picture and you have surely captured this man in the most natural of ways, Yes I also think when you get to that age, energy does seem to go missing.
Maybe if you didnt sharpen the picture, it might of looked better? Maybe?
Well seen though

Great composition, John - very funny. I like the clarity of the shot and the detail, especially in the hat. Well seen and captured.

This is a good one John. Very humorous look on his face. You captured this one at just the right moment. As a matter of fact, he looks just about like how I feel this morning, very sleepy :-)

That's a fun people shot, John. Good posture of the guy, and good details on the face. There seem to be some sharpening oddities, but all in all it's a well spotted photo opportunity, and an engaging capture.

A terrific caricature portrait of this fatigued berry picker John....great cropping which provides balanced symmetry of left and right side.
It reminds me of school days when similar slumber came during a boring lecture :-)

He doesn't look dirty enough to be a real cowboy. (I'm from South Dakota where we have lots of real cowboys) The only thing about him that makes him look cowboyish is the hat and that is only because of the shape. I have never seen a real cowboy with a nice shiney diamond ring like that or the wicker looking hat. Other than the title that disturbs me the portrait aspect of this photo is nice. The background looks slighty blurry on one side and hyper-super blurry on the other side. What caused that because that wasn't mentioned in the photographer's note?

nice scene, his pose and expression are great. but there is a lot of strange JPEG artifacts, strange dots everywhere... oversharpened. the workshop is better,, but a bit too soft though. anyway, the scene is great

Great capture of the feeling. I get tired just looking at the expression. The original workshop looks oversharpened to me too. The workshop looks much better.
