Photographer’s Note
And away he went, walking off into the early morning light.
Yes, its that same guy in the hat, but he was so damn photogenic; I hope you'll forgive me.
I scanned this from a colour negative and converted to black and white in photoshop elements.

Excelent composition. Wonderful DOF !. The B&W is great and perfectly focused on the subject. TFS

Good job: a daily life scene which attracts the eye in its black and white tones. It makes me wonder what this man is thinking while walking along the bridge.
Good job!

Hi Ben
A nice, moody shot. You have gained a good exposure level shooting derectly into the sun - not an easy exercise. The shadows are a great feature and the two men going in opposite directions is a good moment to catch this shot. Nice B&W effect and good atmosphere. Well done.

Hi Ben,
Excellent composition. The B&W is perfect to capture the mood. The highlight is the elongated shadows in the morning sun. Very well captured.

Out of three in the series, I would say this one is the ne I like the most.
More dense in composition and saturation of the darks and shades, strikes my senses.
Touchy works, Ben

Hi Ben, as a non-regular visiting your portfolio for the first time, this is also the first time that i see this guy, and i must say, that it's a delight! The light is really fantastic, especialy that small white line around the silhouettes. yes, I agree, he is photogenic, but you also have a marvellous background here. The outline of the bridge creates a nice triangle in which the people move.
Good conversion as well.

Hi Ben, this is an excellent picture, i love the BW here, you caught shadows of those men who go in opposite direction, good bokeh, a goof picture !
... you should have asked them to walk a little bit more on the left side in order to have a better composition ;)
Good !
I'll be back

Your black and whites are very very good. I suspect I like b&w's as when you see a good one, it is good because no colour sways you, so that it does have to have excellant composition, light levels and contrast. Yours nearly always succeed
