Photographer’s Note
I took all manner of photos whilst I was in New York and as I've been browsing through them, have just noticed this one. Sometimes its easy to forget that NYC isnt just big buildings and Central Park. There are lots of smaller squares and parks around that are equally relaxing.
This was taken in a square/park area just as you enter Manhattan Island from the Brookyln Bridge (the name of it escapes me at the moment).
I saw this young lad chasing the pigeons around and thought it made a nice picture with the framing I could get from the trees etc.
Let me know what you think and if you think I could have done this better, and more importantly how :)
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,
This photo stood out when I saw it, I'm surprised nobody has commented on it! I think it may be the colours, particularly the contrast of the person's red coat against the grey background that gives this image a nice, wintery feel to it. You talk about the boy in your note but to me it seems like the photo is focusing on the person in red. Good shot!

Hi Chris,
I like this image, it is very well composed, in my opinion. Many elements in several layers give a good perspective. We can see details very well, as the beautiful architecture. The place seems to be a calm, restful square.
Thanks for sharing,
MC
