"We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children." - Ancient Native American saying
Part of learning about our world is viewing it from the eyes of our children. I enjoy seeing the beautiful smiling faces of the children here on TE. I hope you all will enjoy getting to see some of our lovely North American children. I wanted to take a photo of the two smaller girls in the lower right, and the other children all came running to have their photo taken as well!
Taken under a blue canopy, so I adjusted the hue, and then saturated slightly to bring out the different skin tones. I was mad at that open space in the middle, and I darkened that area a bit. Also cropped out the heavy bars on either side of the children, and added a frame, the color of the bars behind them.

Oh Michelle, let me be the first to comment on this shot!! I think you have found your calling, portraiture!! You have composed this shot so lovingly as to enhance the beauty of the differing skintones of these gorgeous children. I think you did a beautiful job! Your quote is one to live by!
Thanks for sharing these beauties!

Great theme! although somewhat staged, the photo is interesting and conveys the message.

What an appealing photograph - I love the way you caught the littlest one looking sideways for some reassurance and the little girl with the hair flopping over her eyes seems to be reserving judgement. I wouldn't worry about the gap in the middle - I rather like the two hands gripping the bar for moral support. I have to practice some people shots.

What a nice and happy picture with all these children. This one gave me in a good mood for the morning. The litle girl to the right is adorable. I don't think you need to worry to much about the gap in the midle. On my screen the photo still has a bit of a cyan over cast, especially the litle girl to the right has a cyan skin tone. (Since hre dress is blue i guess she got a double dose :)) I made a quick WS for you.
Thanks for sharing the wonders of life to us Michelle.

hi digi-mom this is the first time ive come across your photographs. youve got a very strong note here starting with a very nice quote.
this is like a "united colours of benetton" advertisement. you seem to be able to express yourself even without the nice words that youve written. i like your photograph as well as your thoughts and feelings. it's really nice to see your work
take care. look forward to seeing similar photographs and reading such strong quotes in the future

You've got something great here - besides great people, you represent a multi-ethnic mix. Your color adjustments are perfect. Because of this, it makes it work with the TE theme (otherwise perhaps it would be best for TL)

What to say about children? I love them!
You captured a wonderful moment, showing they purity to live together! But children always gives us nice moments!
So your picture represents this purity, presenting the children happiness that makes our days better giving us a significance for ou lives and a big hope to the future. Nice colours, sharpness and POV
Regards from Brazil!

This picture should be the answer to every person who still thinks that it is wrong to see people from everywhere living together!
