Photographer’s Note
back to my 'nyc experience'.
this photo depicts very well the impression i had from the bridge: a sucession of bars passing above my head.
also with the canon eos 10D.
cropped, switched to b&w, minor adjustments of brightness/contrast/sharpen, saved for web.
comments welcome :)

Great choice going to B&W - really shows the hard lines of the bridge. The composition is very good, and a very unusual angle of the bridge. Great shot!

A very original capture of a much-photographed landmark, Isabel. I appreciate how you managed to find a creative new perspective here, even more so one that extremely well supports your message of the "succession of bars over your head". A very complex and intriguing geometrical pattern. The b&w was a good choice also. Well done.
I'm adding this into my "Brooklyn Bridge" theme.

I recognised this bridge from the countless movies its been in, even though you've chosen quite an unusual angle. The horizontal and vertical bars make the photo feel quite cramped, like you were caged, a good effect. B&W has enhanced this effect, good shot.

very interesting view of this nice bridge.. Unusual.. that's what I like about it.. I would add some contrast I believe. But this is very nice as it is..
you can see mine of this bridge when I lived in NYC.
not as good though, but I was young!!

This has got to be one the most fascinating shots of the bridge that I have ever seen. Everything here works, composition, angle, lines, color, all of it!! Excellent job!

Very interesting angle. Contrast could be a little harder IMO, and I guess I would avoid having a bar right on the upper edge of the frame, it blocks the feeling of movement somewhat. I guess you took this shot from a car in motion? If so, it would be interesting to experiment with a longer exposure and have the foreground bars motion-blurred and the background still sharp.

Yes those bridges are designed to be seen from the side! But you made a fine graphical work to show that the travellers on this bridge are a lot more closed in than you might expect. A nice tight framing and a fine B&W job.

This is a delightful graphical image, nicely captured and very well composed. I might have adjusted levels a bit more aggressively to bring out the details, but that is certainly a matter of personal preference. This is a very nice rendition of the Brooklyn bridge, quite different from what one normally finds. You have a good eye. Well done.

Very nice and graphic photo. I remind me a bit on lot of black and white postcards of NYW which you see in a lot of shops (well, at least in the Netherlands) but this is much more graphic. I like the lines and the black and white tones.
