Photographers Note
regardless of nation, race, family backround etc each citizen is proud to be an american...it is what i find very interesting about the united states as a foreigner...i though this scene that i came cross while waiting in front of the smithsonian museum to get in, is the pysical explanation and symbol of this expression....
dil, din, ırk demeden amerikalı olmaktan gurur duyma halleri yok mu amerikalıların, hani nasıl anlatmalı desem aklıma hemen bu yansıma geliyor, smithsonian muzesinin onunde sırada beklerken bir anda karşıma çıkıvermiş olan...Umarim bir gun bu ulkenin vatandaslari da gurur duyarak tum degerlerine sahip cikarlar..

merhaba cengiz,
a good one but i think it would be even better if you managed to capture him to the left of the flag-pole;
anyhow - i like the concept and realization;
best wishes, jerzy

Hello Cengiz, I really like the picture but I would maybe burn a little of the hair of this guy so that our eyes are not led to his hair but to the flag. It was a good idea and interesring note. Tali

Merhaba my friend,
It is true what you say in the note Cengiz, and also think that this is something still more contrasting with what is usual in Europe or some countries of Latinamerica.
I like the photo very much, the subject looking out of the image and the blurry background with the flag, is a composition with lot of strength amd meaning.
Thanks for sharing!
Saludos, selamlar,
Carlos

Nice photo good experiment with composition you blurred the flag of the nation in background and the subject is so sharp at right side done something different way, usually one should have captured the subject on the left side of the frame and facing the flag. Let me try this in my workshop please see it.

Merhaba Cengiz
You are 100% right in your note. Your photo illustrates it perfectly.
I've been recently some months in the USA and I could write exactly the same. The photo I posted today illustrates also that pride to be an American, although in a more humoristic way.

Hello Cengiz, this is an interesting shot. It is technically well taken with the clear subject in the foreground and the fuzzy but easily recognisable reflection of the stars and stripes behind. But I'm not sure about the composition matching the title. You say your subject is a patriot but the image appears to have him with his back to the flag. Turning away from his country perhaps? Still, it's an excellent photo.
