Travelling with a delegation of pharmacologists affords the opportunity to visit the Institute of Medicine.
The Institute provides a vital service by working outside the framework of government to ensure scientifically informed analysis and independent guidance. If the lectures prove to intense for a
lay-man you can marvel at the architecture - designed with medicine in mind. The centre stairwell being a single helix.

this shot sure does stick out. But then again, its one of those quality shots on TE that do stick out. Good creativity. You found a very good POV that has drama and you didnt just click it, because you uinderstand what a photo needs to be more than a mere snap. This one also tells a story thanks to the hard working man bringing up food. The single helix is a nice homage to the double helix DNA.

Wow, what a shot, Elaine.
Perfect pov to get the right effect of the helix. Well timed with the man on the stairs.
I guess I shouldn't wait for anymore monks from you.....! By the way - I just bought the new camera today so from tomorrow no one can feel safe in the streets of Copenhagen. You have certainly showen us the creative side of you - I hope I have one too :)
Take care Elaine........are you never coming home?????

You found an excellent POV here. Well seen and well executed. Clean, sharp shot with quality colors. Should be seen more often on TE.

Very nice effect you've got here! Contrast between the sharp colors of the figure and the cold environment is splendid. The spiral seems to have an endless depth... Bravo!

I guess my critique has been lost in the belly of TE... so I write a new one! What a strange thing... yesterday I came back to the one I wrote to you and the smily was gone! What is it?
Elaine, this is a very nice graphic shot of the single helix staircase... you've used the perfect dof to show all the detais of upstairs and downstairs, with the woman walking up with her lunch.
Have a good flight back home tomorrow!

Well composed patterned shot
Good usage of the light
Nice placement of the human element
Nice POV (as mostly in this type of shots there is always a chance of over-exposure)
