I took this picture on my way down to the city of Aspen, riding the famous Silver Queen Gondola. These gondolas climb 2 1/2 miles and more than 3,000 vertical feet from the heart of Aspen to the top of Aspen Mountain, at 11212 feet high, in a ride that last approximately 18 minutes. These gondolas are working on their last season. On the next summer, all of them will be replaced for new ones, after 20 years of service. All of the old ones will be put on sale, and if you wish, you can get one for your backyard for only US$ 500.00.

Back with another top of the world shot.
Real cool layers of snow-capped mountain spreading to the far distance.
Nice feel of the perspective.
What a shot, Ricardo!
Cheers and well done.

Another beautiful shot of those silky mountains. They are indeed lovely and I like how you placed yourself to get that perspective of the gondolas. There is a nice division of space for the snow area, trees and the mountains. I wish I could be there. Great shot!! Have a pleasant day.

This is a great shot. The gondolas realy travels too high and definately saves times. The mountains' snow in the back is amazing. They are looking like made from silver. Great POV and nice details.
Thanks for sharing.

besides the loss of details due to the over-exposure on the snowy mountains in the background ... this photo is a beautiful demonstration of a dramatic composition ... i like the way you have placed these lifts in the left third of the frame.
tfs ... regards ... sarju

Hi Ricardo, A nice view form the top. You have well captured the contrast of the light and the shade in this picture. Nice clarity and good DoF. Well done.

Hi Ricardo - nice, reaaally nice, the mountains may not be the most majestic in the world but the clouds and snowcover create a very attractive image.

You have captured that amazing light and silky look as on your first one from here. excellent POV and composition. The perspective from the cables lead our eye through the image.

A very well composed shot that resembles a painting. The POV is excellent, with the cable cars clearly seen. The depth and 3D is really well conveyed here. I especially like the picturesque view of the rolling hills, every fold, curve and crevice of which is so clearly seen. Very well done, Ricardo.

I love the bright snow on the top of the mountains.
Nice colours and light.

The perspective is god (thanks to the cable) and the light on the snowy moutains pretty good.

Impressive view and one that captures the trees against the snow with good impact. The shadows on the mountain side are great patterns of light to catch too. A good view and well seen.

Hello Ricardo, this is a beautiful winter scene. I like the viewpoint looking down over the hills. The gondolas add interest to the picture and the cables lead the eye into the frame.

Now I understand why you stopped and comment my photo, coming from a skier who has visited renown centers.
The view is wonderful, not too cloudy to make the horizon dissappear. The POV,I like with the gondolas on the left, which takes us to the view,it is their job anyway to take us somewherre.
Have a good day

Very nice shot Ricardo - even though Sankt Moritz in Switzerland is literally called top of the world I understand you called your picture this way. ;-) NB: I wouldn't use the blue frame, the color is too strong for these decent snowy photos...
