Photographer’s Note
Mardi Gras came to New Orleans through its French heritage in 1699. Early explorers celebrated this French Holiday on the banks of the Mississippi River. Throughout the years, Orleanians have added to the celebration by establishing krewes (organizations) which host parades and balls. Carnival quickly became exciting and colorful.

Hi Kiet
What an outrageous portrait!
The expression of the lady is filled with such hapiness and joyment. The color beads hanging aroung her neck provided some "attire" to her bared body. Colorful too.
Well, it must be very hot on the streets that she needed to be topless but she might catch a cold from it!
Allow me to put in the first point for such daring shot, Kiet.
Hey members, what about you!
Cheers.

Great shot, Kiet! WHy you haven't got more critiques is beyond me. The colour exuberance is overpowering, a real colour orgy! Bravo!
I did a little crop in the WS if you don't mind.
Ciao!

The shadow on her face makes the picture very expressive. The goodness much centers on her expression and candid. The composition is so beautiful that it certainly tells a tale itself. Very good shot.
Thanks for sharing.

LOL, I see why she has a lot of beads! I was in New Orleans in October, the devastation is still really apparent in the Ninth Ward.
Well seen!

Salut Kiet,
A bientôt.

I don't think there is anything unusual about showing lots of flesh that perhaps others are not so keen to see, at the Mardi Gras, at the Rio Carnival even more is on show.
This lady clearly does not have issues with her body, notice the bushy eyebrows!!
But I must say the close up of the nipple is rather off putting and does detract somewhat from the rest of the photo. I think from her point of view a bit more use of colour would not have gone amiss :D:D
Not my favourite picure.
