Photographer’s Note
This is a closer look at the Red Rock Canyon outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. The Gray Carbonate in the background is the Thrust Fault that I mentioned in yesterday's post. The tan and red rock is Sandstone, the younger of the two types of rock that makes this region well known to geologists.
I used my 28-70mm Tokina F2.8 with a polorizer filter to enhance the colors and to cut through any haze that was present as the day was well into the afternoon and the temperature was quite warm. I did change the sky color slightly in PS due to the scan as noise developed in the sky from the film. The remaining image was untouched other than sharpening a bit.

This is a great shot too. The mix of colors and contrast in the rocks are super.

Hi again steven
I liked the different textures and colours, Great DOP and POV.
All your photos are very good, ( I extremally recomend you to buy a digital camera :) alltough I do like the film ones, but just for the grain you got in the analogic way to bring it to digital )
