Photographer’s Note
Reviewing my New-York old albums, I was surprised by this one, detailing the United Nations building facade on the East River, because of it's similarity with the Windows defrag screen and the relation with the actual geopolitics .
Scanned on Canoscan N670U from paper original, cropped and sharpened.

Yes, very true! I wonder where you were when you took the shot, maybe in a building, opposite the UN? The two different colored panels up top provide a good counter-balance to the many similiar dark panels below.

Wonderful idea for a shot. The composition is perfect on this one. Very well done!

Congratulations on a simple but very expressive facade-photo. I try them all the time, and maybe the problem is when we photograph facedes we want the houses to tell a story. But it is really up to the photo to tell a story. And this one does, the title and the notes help. But even without, it is a strong image of the kind of imprint man leaves on this planet.
