Photographer’s Note
Hi everyone!
about a month ago me and a friend went to Yosemite National Park but weather was not on our side. Three out of four days rained almost non-stop! However, we managed to catch a few nice shots.
Yosemite is a fantastic place to visit, but avoid major holidays to see less tourists. Here is more info on Yosemite National Park.
Cheers,
Skye

Not the usual Yosemite shot, but a charming one nonetheless! The dried-out old trees look somehow soft and delicate in the mist. Well seen and well composed. Regards, Ken.

Okay, this shot is probably more a warning than mine:)
Beside the good technical realisation this shot should be seen by everyone on TE or even everyone across the globe. People most of the time don't care about any kind of "saving this planet" as long as they don't see problems caused by our behaviour. I do not want to point on somebody since it is our problem... I like the fact that you do not write something about this tipic in your note since the picture conveys the message so good! Really a great shot with a very serious message! Stop exploiting this beautiful planet! We just have this one... (Mars sucks:))
TFS!!!

Hello Skye,
Very nice point of view, and excellent contrast of the trees and the grayish background.
It reminds me of the dying trees I saw all over Patagonia,

Hallo Skye!
An important shot, but only a few seem to recognize it's message. It's 5 minutes to 12 - but mankind goes on: busines as usual ...
Greetings from Germany!

Hi Skye,
Here is an interesting foggy shot. I like the spooky mood enhanced by these trees, with no leafs, which look like big spines. I also like the contrast between the plentiful foliage on the floor and the trees. Well done.

Skye, this is a bleak picture of these dead trees. Is this from polution (man interfering with nature) or fire (sometimes part of the cycle of nature). I suspect the former given your title in which case I fully endorse the comments from Andreas. Your misty atmosphere adds to the feeling of devastation.

Salut Skye
This view is sadly beautiful. I really like the atmospher with the myst arround these dead trees. Did the burn or it is because of polution? Beautiful shôt in any way.
Cheers

It's soft...taken from a good angle, and the fog and grey sky intensify the colour of the trees, leaves, bushes and plants...I like it :)

It almost smells like death. A very morbid shot, but I like it a lot. There is fog, and I like fog quite a lot, and have many picture with fog myself. Good cold colors.
Well done!
Cheers

So sad to see these trees dying after the forest fire. What grows to form a new undergrowth after the fire will never replace the beauty of the trees and the contribution they make to a green planet. As far as the image is concerned, technically it is very good, Skye, and you have captured the misty atmosphere well. Will all the world's forests look like this in a hundred years time? Cheers . . .
