| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| The Penobscot Building in downtown Detroit is the third tallest building in the city and was completed in the 1920s. It is topped by a large antenna structure with a neon red ball that can be seen for miles at night. It's one of the many jewels of architecture built in the city during that time. The building had a complete renovation and cleaning in the 1990s. This wall of the building had been covered with decades of black soot but is now, once again, a clean surface. The dissipating airplane trail in the sky is the same one as in my ANR photo and is probably the first thing that caught my eye when I looked up. |
