Photographer’s Note
Just after sunrise overlooking Wizard Island at Crater Lake. The color of the lake is authentic. This is one of the deepest lakes in the world. It's blue color is only limited by the color of the sky. Truly an amazing location to visit.

Hi Jim!
I really like this picture. Original composition in my opinion. The deep blue color is really nice and I like how the mountains and the trees embrace the little island in the lake. Very well captured!

Daniel

Hello Jim,
I like very much this picture, very good POV and great colours.
The island is for my opinion a bit too dark.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Jim
A beautiful shot, excellent composition and a stunning view.
The colour is quite wonderful, even if I can't quite grasp the concept of it being 'authentic'. I feel that a little extra sharpness would work if applied selectively in a few places, but I guess that is just for my taste.
cheers, David

Hi Jim,
The angle of the morning ligh has given more than usual depth to the colors in your photo
In starting a series on the Cascade Lakes Loop, I scattered off in to the Cascade Range. I was impressed that most of this range is recorded well here on TE; so I've started a theme titled Cascade Mountain Range. I’ve added your Crater Lake photo to this theme. Let me know if this is problem for you.
Regards, Pat
