Photographer’s Note
Isle au Haut, Maine, is a beautiful and peaceful place and is part of the Acadia National Park. It is a small island about 10 km long and a bit cut-off from the main park and hence has fewer tourists.
I was on the island this past summer doing fieldwork and had a few bright sunny days. Particularly July 4th was gorgeous and I decided to take a break and visit the light house. This picture was taken at about 5 pm, the sun was low, the bay was calm and it made a wonderful place to sit down and relax.
