I love this shot.. The colors, the mysterious feeling. The red doors are giving a lot to the shot.

As Clod says, the red doors does this picture. It is so obvious that the fellows who owns this wall did not anticipate it to be on display on the internet, he was sure that no one ever sees it! The composition is also fine with verticals and diagonals and the two spots of color. Well seen and well shot!

I like it! The different angels and the two red spots... cool composition! Wander if they know that red painted doors bring luck, acording to the chinese people!!

The composition is good, the red draws the attention and gives all the impact to your photo. I like very much it, it is found well. I regret that there is not a note because I would have liked knowing your state of mind and the place of this photo. Just to share with you.

I'm really impressed that in the midst of all the chaos in NYC you were able to come up with this composition. It takes a keen eye to spot the potential of something like this and you have the gift!

The first thing that attracted me to this photo were the red doors and the large pipe. The more I studied this composition the more it fascinated me. I like the Z-pattern created by the fire escape...it adds a really nice harmony to the composition. Normally I would be put off by all the grafitti, but in this case, it adds yet another dimension to your photo.

Very well done!

Nice repetition in the pattern and colours. The bright red doors hold the eye and the silver pipe on the left avoids leaving a large plain area which could have affected the overall balance.

That's a wonderful city shot. It shows how an assembly of "not to beautiful things" such as these pipes and staircases, caught with the photographer's eye and well framed can become something quite interesting and even artistic. Like a natural urban sculpture. I also see the human side of this backyard wall, with the graffitis on it and the red doors which show a trial to make it more lively if not lovely.

Great! I wonder where you took it... not a typical NYC look - the fire-escape and graffiti are familir, but the pipe and the windows are not common..
I like the red doors - they balance the entire photo!

Great shot. The red door is definitely the anchor of the shots. The pipe and stairs add beautifully.

I like the stairs with shadows, red doors, door shaped windows, graffitis...
Very well framed, great composition.
