Photographer’s Note

The Narrows of Zion Canyon is one of the park's most popular and strenuous, off-trail hikes. Hiking through the Narrows is a 24-km (15-mile) trip requiring at least one full day. Much of the trip involves wading through the Virgin River. The Narrows may be closed because of the threat of flash floods. Permits are required for trips through the length of the Narrows and its tributaries.

Excellent image! The exposure is right on the money as is the DOF. I like the people in the image as it provides a sense of scale and the action blur of the hikers is even better. The hikers are looking at the camera and goofing - friends of yours?

Really nice shot. I like the smooth movement of the river with the longer exposure but I like that you added the human aspect in there too. The colors of the sun coming through the canyon are great. Thanks for sharing.

Hello, Denis. I appreciate how you managed to capture the light in this pic. The contrast between the dark wall on the right and the well lit one on the left works very well. The blur on the hikers tells us about the speed you used. How slow was it?

The slow shutter sped is the key here. And that captures the dramatic view of the river, and the ghosts of those two people. The bg is beautiful.

malo sem se zgubil in imel premalo casa, za vse skupaj, no pa vendar evo me:
Dobra slika, lepe barve in vse kot mora bit, svetloba ki prihaja na sceno izmed dveh masivov. Lepo. Ko pa gledam ta dva, ki preckata reko si mislim, da je morda tako mrzla, kot nasa Soca ;))
