Photographer’s Note
My first upload to TE. Taken on the Red & White Fleet Golden Gate Bay Cruise from the stern. One of many, but I think this one turned out the best. What do you think?

Hello Matthew,
I think this is a pretty good way to begin your time on TE. A nice angle from the boat, and a good idea to include the flag. It works very well.
(Also nice to see a bridge painted the right colour - red oxide - it's a personal thing I admit, but in the UK we've started painting our big bridges lime green - which is pretty disgusting I think!)
Enjoy the site. It's big and often bizarre.
Regards
Colin

Bonjour Matthew
Welcome on TE
I like very much the Point of view of your shot.
The color of the bridge goes very well with the color of the sky.
The top of the bridge which disapear in the clouds gives a poetic note to your photograph.
Well considering!
I wish you a long life on TE

An unusual and interesting point of view to a famous landmark. Good composition. Great first post. Thanks for sharing.

The presence of the flag, the angle in which you managed the geometry of the lines, make this a very successful and original capture of this ubiquitous sight (for us in SF).

The whip of the flag adds a defining moment to your shot. It echoes the vertical dimension of the bridge's spire and makes it a nice compostion. I hope you are inspired by this site to do your best. Thanks, Matthew!
