One of the most famous museums in the world, the Guggeheim is a must see. The museum itself is actually quite small, something of a surprise to me. The design of the building is first class though. And for photography nuts, there was a Robert Mapplethorpe exhibition on when I was there. Tons of photos to see.
This is a repost. I used curves to make this photo brighter as the other one I posted was underexposed and too dark. I prefer this version by a LOT over the first one. Infact, I want to thank Luko for giving me the idea about postprocessing these. I didnt know how dark they were until I saw his workshop for another one of my photos, and it hit me how big a difference there was. I also added a frame I feel is much better for this photo.
In the workshop I put the orignal photo I posted here first. Its quite a difference in the way it looks, I think.
Anyway, Im away for this weekend and will hopefully come back with some lantern photos next week:)

Nice artistic shot, the shadow, wording in black and white looks great :)

Great work! The Guggenheim name tilted corner to corner gives this a dynamic look, and the dark area underneath is very interesting - sharp and straight on one side, curved and blurred on the other. The little shadow in the top left may not be large, but it is essential to the photo - without it everything would appear very flat and uninteresting. Great choice to use black & white. The overall photo is very simple, but very effective and eye-catching. Well done!

Terrific snap. The thing I appreciate most is the eye you have for capturing a seemingly simple object in such a captivating shot.

yes it's better like this, the contrast is good now.
The tilt makes the shot, good composition.
I like the curves and the lines.
I had forgotten that lanterns were one of your favorite theme. ;-)

Simple and artistic in a fine B&W option. The little shadows are a must here and the name of the museum in diagonal.
A Artwork, very well seen and composed.

Perhaps the best of the set - you have a great eye for this graphism. Basolutely right on TILT here, creating that diagonal for the letters.
This is very sensual too, very appealing in every way.

Wow, this is awesome. I saw it the first time yu posted it (and loved it then!), but the way you brightend it makes that beautiful dark shadow stand out perfectly. The tilt makes the letters look very cool. Great work!

Abosuletly better than the prevous one (which was pretty good in its own right). Curves are the same as levels? I really like the way the image is lighter.
