Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken on a boat cruise about one hour after sunset. It's a miracle that it didn't blur, as the boat was bumping around on the waves. The long shutter speed brought out the red sky. I cropped and sharpened it in Photoshop. I made a brighter version, but I like this better as it seems more natural.

Hi, Mike.
A very sharp photo taken from a moving boat. I guess anything more than 1/4 seconds exposure would be too much.
Beautiful skyline.

For a boat trip you got it right. Sky is too dark for a night shot. if I could see some kind of evening light it would be awesome. But I'm sure you faced east so the sunset is behind you. Eithercase, a lighter brighter sky would make this a superb picture. Nonetheless, came out great for taken in a bumby boat.
Cheers
