French Quarter Model, a photo from Louisiana, South

Photographer's Note

It was the Easter week-end at New Orleans. Those were the good days !. I spotted this model inside the window of a fashion store , there was a lot of people who stopped and observed it. It was late at night, and the only available light was coming from a street lamp. I too liked it very much, so I went back to the hotel and took my tripod and my long lens. The only thing I added here was the green frame.

A nice capture and a good crop here
I can see what the model was showing and I find you did a good job showing the hands but not the whole body

I like that you tell us a bit about the situation you were in and what you did

Beautiful composition and light, there is a paitning feeling to it, really magical, I hope that New Orleans will recover soon from the tragedy.

Hi Izzet, wonderfull, you don't do this often and now i wonder why! this is great, nice still life shot.

It might be a model but she (it) has indeed the French Glamour, even that she's (it's) in Lousiana!

I thought you shot a painting when it was still a thumbnail stage. But I decided to click on it and am happy that I did. She looks too artificial to make a "life" shot but she is a model and why not take a shot of a model's life.. it must be very tough life I guess. Simple framing and good colours.

as you may know it, I love those photos of mannequins (see london), this one is excellent! and a nice tribute to new orleans...

mankenler benim de ilgimi çeker niyeyse..
its interesting that this mannequin has that elegant french look on her face somehow, and you captured this so well,, it is also quite "moody" image in its own right..
