Photographer’s Note
When I look at this picture I feel extremely sorry for what happened. One year before the tragedy of 9.11 I was standing in the WTC observatory with my camera, thinking how amazing and beautiful this view was. I think it was one of the best views on the world, and I wish it still could be seen from where I was then. And I'd like other people who cannot go to WTC Observatory to be able to see this picture, of that amazing view, from the place that doesn't exist any more.
Quality is not too good, it is just a scan made from an old print.

Thanks for sharing that "view" with us.
I have a few shots of our two boys enjoying that same view on a beautiful November morning some ten years ago, and whenever I flip thru that particular album I am saddened.

When I first viewed the picture I thought "Nothing very special". I then read the notes and it made the hairs on my neck stand up.
I had always wanted to see this view for myself but never had the opportunity. Thanks for sharing it with us.

The city looks as though it is on fire. It is alight; a most fantastic view. Thank-you for sharing this. The composition works very well and the lights are almost three dimensional. A good image. I like the fact that it is soft and a little light.

I do not know why, but whole city seems to be on fire. In fact it is only city lights, which is obvious for 3 seconds exposure.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful picture. But is it still a picture or already a master piece for a museum?
