Photographer’s Note
By 18 December 2004, most students had left Ithaca (from both Cornell University and Ithaca College) for Winter break. They left town that semester without seeing the season's first snow, in a characteristically cold and snowy region of New York State.
I woke up the morning of December 19 and was astonished to look out the window and see so much snow on the ground. The city cleaning crews were not yet prepared for the snow, and it took them a couple of days to remove the snow from the strets. Walking around town, I found this newly renovated porch (possibly redone to withstand the upcoming winter) with the fresh, untouched snow. It thought it made a nice perspective.

Great POV in this picture. You really captured the softness of the newly fallen snow focusing on the pillar in the foreground.

a Fine picture you have really captured moment
Some cropping may enhance the image by taking the railing to the top right corner.
Good clarity, next time consider capturing the complete forground post and having the post more perpendicular.
Great story it created the scene, Well done
