Photographer’s Note
Houston has a traffic system which utilizes HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lanes. During times of heavy traffic flow (heading into downtown in the morning, for example), cars and trucks that have two or more people in them can use these lanes along with Metro buses and (for some strange reason) motorcycles. The HOV lane is separated from the rest of the traffic by a concrete barrier, and is usually faster than the regular freeway. This morning the traffic was flowing about the same pace in both lanes, and I saw this motorcycle pulling alongside me, so I snapped a few shots with my right hand while I drove with my left.
I know, I know -- who was the bigger idiot? Me for taking pictures while I drive, or him for riding a motorcycle without a helmet?
I rotated the image a little, adjusted the levels, and then sharpened and resized the image before uploading.
