Photographer’s Note
This is the public beach in Summerland in contrast to its "private beach" portion in Summerland. There is a long walk from parking lot to the beach. I solute the guys who carried their loads of stuff all the way to the beach. Because the long walk and because the small population in Summerland, the public beach is, actually, less people on the beach than the private beach.
The two tiny spots over the horizon on the right hand side are oil drilling platforms. There are many oil platforms along Santa Barbara coast line.

Yo Wes, I wanna be there, they say it is summer here in the Netherlands, but it looks more like autumn, with storm, and cool temperature, and rain. So this looks quite attractive I mus say.
Nice composition with this very strong diagonal, the beach ending in the corner, and the tre on the opposite corner of the diagonal. Good help, a polarizer filter, hey?

Hi Wes,
Another great summer shot! Very good lighting and I like the strong colours of sand and water. Very good capture again, well done!

Hi Wes,
You caught the right light for this composition. I love the colour of the sky contrasting with the sand of the beach. A really crisp picture for this time of year!

Hi Wes,
This very relax and peaceful place is well portrayed with good colours and light management. It looks like places like this is hard to come by these days as the news around us suggest. I also like how the lines converged to a well selected point on the horizon. Well done!! All the best.

Hi Mr. Wes! This is one of the best beach shots I've seen in a long time. There is no better time for a polarizer than here. It's rare seeing those reflections in the ocean too. Excellent shot Wes!

Bonjour Wes,
Pour une plage publique, il n'y a pas grand monde ;-)) Pourtant le beau temps est là, avec cette mer calme.
La présence des enfants jouant dans l'eau est bienvenue.
Le format panoramique est bien pensé.
Bravo !

Nice perspective and angle of view in this nice and fine beach. Good diagonal lines and a good enquadrement of the elements. Nice colors and light.
Well seen and well composed!

This one even better asking me Wes. I then think of the very bright light and the inviting setting. Good use of the diagonal and I am glad to see that this public version is not too much filled of people - at least for this compo 'just enough' people around.

Hi Wes - the Danish coast looked very different, much colder and nobody was swimming. There are two depressions hanging in northern Europe (they have been there for a while), so only southern Europes has some nice beach weather now:( It this will stay some time.
Very nice sunny photo. The deep blue colour of the sky reminds me a bit of the colour of the sky of the Cote d'Azur. I also like the way the lines of the water end exactly in the right corner. Thanks for sharing this beautiful sunny pic!

Wow, Wes - this sure is a weather pattern and a scenery where the polarizer came in handy, I should say. A lovely relaxing scene from the not very crowded beach, with a delightful array of contrasting summertime colors. Thanks for pointing out the elements in the back as oil platforms - at this distance I would have mistaken them for ships. Very nice shot.

Salut Wes,
La photo semble coupée en deux par cette diagonale, j'aime beaucoup les couleurs. Les gamins doivent être heureux, ils ont la plage rien que pour eux ;o)
Un agreable moment de détente.

Hi Wes.
I like this one, but there is something that dislikes to me. Perhaps the strong light, perhaps the empty sky... I do not know, but here there is something that dislikes to me.
Anyway, interesting.

Hi Wes!
The saturated color in this shot works well. THe contrast between the clear blue sky and the warm rocky coast is quite nice.

What a beautiful sky and good contrast.
Surely worth walking all the way if you get to enjoy the place all by yourself.

Bonsoir Wes,

I like how quiet this beach looks like, it's not crowded, and I think it's worth the long walk. nice saturated colors.
