Took this during carnaval san francisco on memorial day weekend. the carnaval was held in latin community part of the town. Lots of the walls in that area has paintings on it.

Added note:
This festival was held in the mission neighborhood. Lots of mural in that area for people who likes it.

A really interesting point of view Ricardo - a little too much strong light in parts of the pic which is a shame but there is a a 'gentle' dramatic tension to the pic which is great - a really nice idea - and I love the murals (as a sometimes muralist myself). My wife is in SF in the autumn - I'm hoping she brings back some good pics of murals.

Great pic of carnaval colours and costumes. If San Francisco is the paradise of murals then I wish to go there on day... :)

The sun was bursting really hard, so the photo is a little injured by that.

But the colourfull wall, the cops and the people in the background are really great.

I like this POV and this depth.
Beautifull colors with this nice graf on the wall.
The 5 police men make a part of the shot ;)

I like American cops, at least the ones in NYC, they usually are pretty cool, when of course you don't bother them. I noticed that very often, when there is a gathering of policemen, there is ALWAYS a strange looking dude getting in a deep conversation with them, Haven't you notice? I wonder why? I guess they are lonely, and feel safer with them than chating with the boys from the' hood.
Nice composition, it shows the harshness of the sun.
