Photographer’s Note
Here is another angle of the boat harbor from a different angle on a clear day, May 2 rather than the rainy day on June 2.
This is the most northly end of Prince William Sound. The majority of these boats are personally owned boats used for fishing. All summer the boats go out into the sound to catch halibut and salmon. The locals use the fish caught for substinance. Deep frying and making jerky are popular for salmon, while deep frying is the preference for halibut. Rarely does anything go to waste. Others prefer to catch and release while merely enjoying the art of fishing.
I adjusted the contrast, sharpened one time in Photoshop and filtered once through NeatImage.

This is almost a perfect mirror. The colors are so very beautiful and the sharpness on this is fantastic.
The white mountains against the beautiful blue sky are beautiful. This palce looks very cold.

Hi Mae, A beautiful marina picture. With the reflections in the quiet water in the foreground and the snow covered mountain in the background, the marina is a peaceful and beautiful place. An excellent POV to capture the beautiful scene. Well done.

This is great shot. Would have been nice to avoid the lower left corner. This is a perfect example of peace present in that place!!

Cool clear colors with an explicit reflection and very well sharpened here to the point, you learn fast. Well chosen diagonal perspective on this harbor to this snowhite mountains in the back. Do I see a train there in between ?
A very detailled clear and well composed capture Mae

Hello Mae. I have been fortunate to see quite an amount of the U.S. already, but Alaska is still on my list of places to see - and looking at your photo it just moved up a few places on that list :-) The light you captured in this one is nothing short of stunning, and the crisply clear view really makes for a pleasant viewing of the marina details in the foreground, and the snow-capped mountain range in the back. A wonderful photo.

Hi Mae
Stunning reflections, with superb color, sharpness, & lighting. I like the use of repetition of the yachts, & their masts, in the composition. Well done!
