the days after 9/11 NYC was different from wellknown busy life in NYC. In these days the streets - even between ESB and Flatiron Building were quite empty and the atmosphere was more than strange.

Hi there again, Nino, good to see the Flatiron building. For seven years, I lived right across this building, my only window on the 11th floor was facing "face to face" this architectual beauty. The buildings on the left were not there yet, it was a parking lot.

Wow, 3 days after 9/11....looks like a typical Sunday on the New York streets.

This is the building where the phrase "23 skidoo" originated as the building does strange things to womens skirts down on the street when the wind blows here.

The cops 80 years ago had to shoe away the guys that always gathered on the corner on windy days to watch...they chased them off by saying "skidoo"..and since the cross street is 23rd street...well you get the picture.

Great Job.
Aloha, JB
