Boats: Great Salt Lake Photo

Photographer’s Note

On Antelope Island, I pointed to these boats and said to my daughter, "that would make a good photo!" So she took one. Then I took one. Hers was better than mine, but here is mine anyway.

Per Ornis: We were using a tripod, even though we didn't need it. We did need it a little while later, though.

Very nice David. I'd consider cropping out part of the lower water to get away from that almost centred horizon though.

No comment! It's perfect, David, up to the masts being clearly brought up against the dark background. Would you just check the speed rated. I have a doubt, if you used a tripod. Thanks.

Amazing colors and mood! This is one of the best sunsets of TE because it breaks the red/orange usual tones!

just wonderful! colors are out of the ordinary for a sunset shot. I agree with ronners about cropping a bit on the bottom, but it's just a personal preference.. congratulations on another GREAT picture!

Such unusual and stunning colours! That and the silhouettes are the necessary elements to make it a lot more than "just another sunset"...

Great colors and great composition. The black border also adds to the picture. Also I wouldn't crop the picture I like it the way it is.
